Remember this song when all else is censored:
Not a battle cry, not a hymn
Not a remedy, just a reminder
To go your own against the wave
They'll break an artist's fingers
and strangle all the press
They'll sweep us all under the rug to keep from cleaning up their mess
Silence is a virtue when you can't tell the truth
Serpents split from your tongue
Spitting venom for the youth
Channels change before my eyes
Screen-assisted suicide
Can't turn it off, don't want to hide
Just don't want to feel dead inside
Bleach and ammonia drip from my thighs
Venom boils back out through my eyes
And my anxious thoughts become my obsessive nightmares...
Channels change behind my eyes
State-assisted suicide
Can't turn it off, can't run and hide
From the constant stream of guilt inside
Silence is a weapon
It kills without a sound
Anyone can wield it
Complacency has brought resistance down
Coward, liar
No better than the tyrant you ignore
Liar, coward
You built your court of corporate whores
This entire album rips. I've had this on repeated play several times since it came out. I wish I had heard it a week earlier when they played in Boston. One of my fav albums in this genre period. slimes
